Healthy Aging Month

Healthy Aging MonthAs sad as we are to say goodbye to the laid-back days of summer, we look forward to what awaits. September is Healthy Aging Month, and so we recognize the importance of a healthy lifestyle to reduce the degenerative process. With regards to the eye, our best defense in preventing degenerative changes is a healthy diet, including plentiful fruits, vegetables, and nuts. Leafy greens, in particular, are considered the super-food for the eye, as studies have shown their role in the prevention of Macular Degeneration and Cataracts. If you are unsure of how you’re doing in this process, you can schedule a comprehensive eye exam and we’ll let you know!

Our oceans are being inundated with so much plastic waste that it is found in 25% of all fish. A startling statistic is that by the year 2050, there will be more plastic by weight in the ocean than fish. Therefore, we aim to do our part and you can help too!

Please watch the following video which explains the dire situations of our oceans – you will be amazed!
