November is a time when we feel so much gratitude in our hearts as we honor our brave Veterans, appreciate the wonderful community that we are part of and remember Dr. Sidney Lavine. At Bordentown Family Eye Care, we are so incredibly grateful to the brave men and women who have sacrificed so much for their country so that we may enjoy such freedom. We are so very thankful for those who have paved the way before us. We feel unbelievably blessed to have such supportive and loyal patients who make what we do so enjoyable and rewarding.
World Sight Day 2019
We are gearing up for WORLD SIGHT DAY on Thursday, October, 10th. We are joining in with Optometry Giving Sight to be a part of their challenge to help end avoidable blindness and vision impairment worldwide.
Unfortunately, there are more than 1.2 billion people around the world who are blind or vision impaired because they don’t have access to an eye exam and a pair of glasses. Our goal is to help this great effort to ensure less children are limited by poor vision. We will be donating the proceeds from the exams that day to this worthy cause. In addition, we will be donating $5.00 for every frame sold during the month of October. #GivingFeelsBetterThanReceiving
National Kindness Day
It may be chilly outside but may the warmth we generate within our hearts be enough to sustain us and others.
February is all about heart and soul. The American Heart Association outlines what it takes to have a healthy heart, but we know it’s more than just diet and exercise, it takes opening it up to others.
“ The openness of our hearts and minds can be measured by how wide we draw the circle of what we call family.” Mother Teresa
At Bordentown family Eyecare, we celebrate this month by honoring the legacy of Dr. Sidney Lavine. He shared the same ideals that we do for a successful community of patients: to always be charitable and kind. Our patients make up this great little community that we are so proud to call the home of our office. Bordentown Family Eyecare is proud to be a sponsor to the Bordentown Halloween parade, local sports teams, school safety programs and much more both in and outside of Bordentown city. Continue reading
