It may be chilly outside but may the warmth we generate within our hearts be enough to sustain us and others.
February is all about heart and soul. The American Heart Association outlines what it takes to have a healthy heart, but we know it’s more than just diet and exercise, it takes opening it up to others.
“ The openness of our hearts and minds can be measured by how wide we draw the circle of what we call family.” Mother Teresa
At Bordentown family Eyecare, we celebrate this month by honoring the legacy of Dr. Sidney Lavine. He shared the same ideals that we do for a successful community of patients: to always be charitable and kind. Our patients make up this great little community that we are so proud to call the home of our office. Bordentown Family Eyecare is proud to be a sponsor to the Bordentown Halloween parade, local sports teams, school safety programs and much more both in and outside of Bordentown city.
We would like to thank everyone who participated in Dr. Lavine Day. The proceeds from that day will help fund optometry students in underdeveloped countries so that they may provide the eyecare that is desperately needed. Optometry Giving Sight is a global fundraising initiative targeting the prevention of blindness and impaired vision through the training of eyecare professionals, establishing and supporting vision centers and providing eyecare services and visual aids as needed.
“ I alone cannot change the world but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples.”
