As sad as we are to say goodbye to the laid-back days of summer, we look forward to what awaits. September is Healthy Aging Month, and so we recognize the importance of a healthy lifestyle to reduce the degenerative process. With regards to the eye, our best defense in preventing degenerative changes is a healthy diet, including plentiful fruits, vegetables, and nuts. Leafy greens, in particular, are considered the super-food for the eye, as studies have shown their role in the prevention of Macular Degeneration and Cataracts.
